Ganz ohne Harmonieinstrument kommt das Trio des Hamburger Saxophonisten Paul Beskers aus, um seine energiegeladenen, teils eigenwilligen, dennoch stets tief im Jazzkontext verwurzelten Kompositionen zwischen maximaler Reduktion und opulenter Wärme zu zelebrieren. Diesem minimalistischen Konzept bleibt man auch im Verbund mit NDR Bigband-Trompeter Percy Pursglove treu. Die Rhythmusbasis wird beim ELBJAZZ von der Berner Bassistin Tabea Kind und dem dänischen Schlagzeuger Ludvig Søndergaard bereitet, die dem dicht-funkelnden Quartettsound paneuropäische Konturen verleihen.
