Elbjazz 2024 - HfMT Young Talents

Ken Norris – egal ob der Sprechgesang im Rap oder das Toasting im Dancehall, er kennt sich in beiden Genres bestens aus. Er war aber auch an Fusion-Produktionen und an Musicals beteiligt. Ein Tausendsassa des Jazz mit einer grandiosen, facettenreichen Stimme. Oft ist der charismatische US-Amerikaner mit dem HfMT-Professor Gabriel Coburger aufgetreten – ein Saxophonist, der nicht nur seit Jahrzehnten die Hamburger Szene bereichert, sondern auch schon mit etlichen US-Stars gespielt hat. 2007 erhielt er als erster Preisträger den Hamburger Jazzpreis. Zusammen mit der jungen HfMT Bigband unter der Leitung von Wolf Kerschek haben die beiden erfahrenen Jazzcats ein schillerndes Songpaket geschnürt.
